 Kagulu hill is a cultural site for Busoga Kingdom and now a well developed cultural tourism site, in Buyende district 40kms from Kamuli district and 100kms from Jinja city.
The site is 180kms from Kampala the capital city of Uganda and takes 4 hours drive to get there, giving visitors great scenery after hiking the 3600ft Rock.
Although the cultural value of Kagulu extends to cover a wide area, the remaining and visible landmark is the Kagulu hill. The hill sits in between two roads that divide at the foothill to lead to Gwaya and Iyingo areas.

Detailed Itinerary

Transfer to Kagulu Hill,  hike the Kagulu in Buyende past Jinja to encounter the culture of the Basoga. The protruding rock is noted to be the place where Namutukula is believed to have landed upon arrival. 
At the site, there are other smaller hills that are believed to be the wives of Kagulu including Mawaale, Kagwese, Mpanga, Nakyeere, Butadewo and Bukolimo. In the north of the hill, there lies a traditional shrine of an ageing oracle named Mandwa Kagulu Nabiryo who is noted to be haunted by 45 spirits that own and patrol the Kagulu hill. It is a magical site for culture and at the same time for adventure and sightseeing.
After the hike, you will have lunch and then drive to Jinja and visit the source of the Nile which is the longest river in the world.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Jinja town where you will also have a chance to experience the Jinja night light life in the clubs and bars.
 

After morning Breakfast,Nyero rock painting is located in Ngora district which was previously known as Kumi district that is dominated by the Iteso people.
Nyero rocking painting is among the oldest and historical sites that is extremely interesting to visit so as you enjoy the untold historical stories of the site that has 3 rocks shelter panels that is found on the granite outlook of Moru Ikara, the rock painting features include, the stone age people, animals like zebras as well as concentrated circles and these are found on the surfaces of the three rock shelters.
Have Breakfast, Drive around Kumi town for a brief tour, Community walk then embark on the journey back to Kampala with arrival late evening.
